Ok so I read in the Manual step by step on how to reset the Service (A) B timer / message. I've had the car serviced, just not at Mercedes. And anyone who ever has, knows why ($).

Anyway so I followed the instructions on resetting it from the Manual. I did everything right! I even had 3 other people try. My point is....it won't RESET!? Anyone know why? It says I'm overdo for Service B by 11,400 miles. Could that be the reason why? With such high mighleage recorded since my last "Service" it won't let me do it? [:@]

what year and model, does the button work; does it reset the trip odometer?? if the button works than thats not the problem.

 

Wouldnt have a clue what car youve got but did you try with the door closed.

I have a 2004 C230 Kompressor.

BUT I figured out the problem, you can't have the car completely off or on. It has to be set to the "B" ignition.
