Default S500 4Matic Tire Wear Question - thumping tires

After only 10K both of my front Goodyear Eagle RS-Atires have either a high spot or a low spot, they thump noticeably once per revolution. I don't notice the thump at higher speeds, but it can't be good for the suspension to run those tires. I had the wheels aligned at my MB dealer when I put the tires on the car last January. There is a little extra wear on the inside of each tire, but other than that they are giving me excellent mileage. Can anyone explain what might cause this?

Junk tires. Stick with oem Michelin mxv4 (primacy or energy). Replace the tires and get another dealer alignment (ask for color printout of alignment results). Costco has good deals on tires, and remember that paying extra for nitrogen fill is BS. The air we breathe is 80% nitrogen, no need for the extra $$$

Thank you for your comments. They are size: 245/45R18 front and rear (4matic).

I would go with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires. They are not directional but a summer performance tire with good handling but a little less tread life. Also, have you had the wheels checked for bends/warpage? I would request a "road force" tire balance or equivilant which checks for wheel runout. I will not be surprised if you have 2 or more bent wheels.
