Rear middle seat belt on ML

Rear middle seat belt on ML
Some how, when putting down the rear seats, the double seat, when in the folded position, the belt has locked itself. The seat belt tensioner has come on and I cant now lift the seat as its locked fast. I have tried to dismantle the seat unit to no avail. Does anyone know what I can do to release it, other than cutting the belt or taking it to the workshop???
