On a 2000 slk the red interior is easily chipped showing black marks. It's only happening on the middle counsel. What options for repair are there?

it shouldn't be. they never paint it originally.

vinyl paint with a good primer or base coat.

 

A good automotive leather dye to color, but if there is material missing, then a new piece of leather is probably all you can do. Don't try those leather fixing kits, as they don't work, and if you aren't careful you can really mess up things. I would find a Pro auto shop supply store and see if they have a good dye.
