radio code ? 1996 c280

I was doing engine maintenance a removed ground from batt now radio wants a code i have is there a common or master code?

Contact your local MB dealer. If they are nice enough, they may give it to over the phone or they'll ask you to come in with proof of ownership to give you the code.

if the radio ever been replaced and the vmi hasnot been updated, you will need to r/r the radio to get the serial#.
