Hi there. I've got a 1984 240d with a bad injector primer pump assembly. My mechanic wants to charge me nearly $600 for parts and labor but I can get the part for around $160. I'm fairly mechanically inclined and not afraid of getting my hands dirty. Is this a job I can take on myself? Where can I find a process for the removal of the leaky old injector primer and the installation of the new one? Are there any major pitfalls I'm likely to encounter? Any advice is MUCH appreciated.
