Default Persistent Engine Warning Light C320 CDI

I had the misfortune of putting around 16 litres of petrol in my C320 CDI on Tuesday. Fortunately I never started the car and the AA drained the tank popped in a protective additive and I then filled up with diesel. After one day of normal driving the warning light appeared. My local Ford garage read the code (made some mention of a fuel error) and turned out the light. The car drives perfectly but today the light returned.

The car still drives perfectly and there is no loss of performance. I am just concerned it will go into limp mode if I continue to drive it. I cannot get to the garage again for a couple of days and have 200 miles to travel tomorrow. Any advice or opinions would be welcome.

Many thanks

Ian

When someone reads a code, ALWAYS get the exact code before they turn it off.

Get the code read again, and see fi it makes sense.
