Default Part # please

Does anyone have the part # (and/or the actual name) for the metal tube that runs from the battery to the alternator? It's the one that holds the cables . . . on an '88 190E 2.3.
Thanks,
-Daniel

Anybody??? Mine's pretty unsightly and I would like to replace it. I haven't been able to find it but it might be simply because I don't know what it's called. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
-Daniel

OK my mistake. It goes from the alternator into the battery compartment, that's it. Then the wires inside split up into a connector part # 123 540 03 69. It's not shown on your diagram but it is the hose that holds the wires labeled 116/137 on it. It's simply a metallic hose with some sort of insulator on it that holds cables running through it. Looks kind of like a dryer hose that you would have in your house.
Thanks for all the help. Very much appreciated.

my imagination is running wild now.

was it something like a flexible tin or aluminum foil?

it is called insulating hose and can bought by meter. A 000 546 18 30. the diameter is 530mm (.?)

Haha sorry for the confusion Sleepwalker. Sounds like you got it though. It's like flexible tin with a thin insulator. I really really appreciate the trouble.

Thanks again,
-Daniel
