Outside Temp Reading

Outside Temp Reading
Hey fellas' (and ladies!), I've got a 2000 CLK 320 Cab, and as luck would have it it's about 4 weeks out of warranty. My problem isn't major, I don't even mind in fact, but Mrs. CLK_Sous on the other hand..... The outside temp gauge is way off. The other day it got up to 113 dF. Needless to say it's not that hot in DC yet! Any thoughts or ideas? Should I just change the sensor? Is this a fairly common problem?
