LOL!
I hate to admit it, but there is some truth to it, especially on old cars.
Those alodine coated parts are no match for salt air. I've been complaining about that coating for twenty years, and they all just keep on using it. lol

Make sure you put oil on the rubber seal and threads before installing the new one if you put it up dry you will have the same problem next tine. Hand tight then 1/4 turn is tight enough. Make sure that the old rubber seal is off nothing worse than two seals it will hold at idle but when your under load POW
