So I know you usually "get what you pay for" so to speak. Purchased my '13 W204 C250 Coupe a few weeks ago. I love the car. Came from a BMW 328i Coupe. Got it from Carmax, which I have done in the past with out any problems.....however Carmax seems to get their cars and sell them in one motion. I pulled the air filter, and I shook out SO much dirt and sand and stuff, it blew me away! The car had 29680 miles, and I bet that air filter was replaced once at best! I don't think the oil was done by Carmax either. Did an oil change and bought a less than Mercedes oil filter on amazon. The brand is the infamous...Voolco! Anyway it does not fit snugly on the oil filter cap stalk, it slides right back off. I'm thinking when the housing cap is snugged down, the filter will stay in place. I will not do this again! Anyway, this oil change is a "cleansing" oil change, and will be done again in a few thousand miles. Then I will be on a regular schedule. Do you think I will have any issues with the oil filter not being snug on the cap stalk?
