oil changed

Default oil changed
I just changed the oil in my 1987 190d. Is my oil level considered full after running the engine,then checking the level. Or while the engine is cold? Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Thank you very much for putting this question to rest. I was always afraid that after it had cooled and the level rose above the fill line that I had over filled.

I guess once the rain stops hopefully tomorrow, I will drain what little there is over out. Luckily I haven't driven the car but a couple of miles.
