I have a 2006 CLS with 9000 miles on it. Which I had the Mobil 1 oil change at the dealer done @6141 miles 12/7/07. I now have 9042 miles.The computer is calling for sevice in 15 days. Do I really need to have the oil changed again with less than 3000 miles on this oil?

 

You might not need the Oil changed. As far as Service whenever my computer calls for service I get it done. The oil probably would be done also.

 

The service light is triggered by the odometer; it does not mean your oil is bad. If you had low oil level or low oil pressure, the oil light would come on.

Did the dealer reset the FSS when the oil was changed otherwise 9,000 is usually the recommended interval. There was a flap with my MB dealer a while ago that "if you did not have the A or B service done, they would not reset it".
