1985 500 sel won't start. The fuel pump is working but not getting to injectors. Any ideas?

 

o Fuel Filter/Line blockage

o Accumulator blockage

o Fuel distributor blockage

Thanks for your help. This is a intermittent problem. I used seafoam this week but no fix.

How about the pressure regulator which is often an integral part of the fuel pump. Low cost to replace.

I take it that no codes are stored.

Only when the fuel tank is low?? If so possibility that pickup has "dropped off".

You then get into much more complex and expensive possibilities. e.g. EIS Electronic Ignition Switch etc.
