I have a problem right now with my 1996 e200 w210. This morning I drove it from my house to my mates house and it was working fine. I drove around most of the day with no problems, no rough idle, no power loss, nothing. I parked for about 10 minutes to go to the shop. When I came back, I turned on the car, it turned on fine, I drove for about 5 metres until all acceleration was lost. The engine was running fine, but when I pressed accelerate, nothing happened. The car wouldnt move, the RPMs wouldnt rev or anything, so I ended up having to tow my car back home. Now when I turn it on, it doesnt turn on, just turns on for 1 second then turns back off. I cant rev it or anything.

Im not sure if its the MAF sensor, or spark plugs, or even battery, but my main guess is the MAF sensor. The car was not used for about 4 months recently and had to be jump started recently, but since the jump start 2 weeks ago, it worked fine, until today....

Has anyone faced such a problem?
