Hey everyone,

I just bought my first 95 C220 and I have some questions. I tried to research but am unclear on some issues:

1.How can Icheck codes for a engine light?

2. Whywould the previous owner block a coolant hose with a spark plug and clamp?

3. Would this affect my a/c blower speed? It works atmedium speed on a setting of 4.

I live in South Texas and its 100 Degrees F average so maybe they blocked the hose to the heater for cooling purposes.

Any ideas?

 

I will try to see if I can find it. OBD2 has spoiled me rotten.

The heater hose: maybe the heater wasseen as un-necessary in the desert, and was removed to improve airflow over the A/C coil? Who knows? But I wish they had used something more professional than a spark plug! EEK! At least replace it with abrass cap or something, to keep it from looking like a hack-job.
