Afterpairing a new bluetooth enabled cell phone in my father's new 2008 C300 Sport, the next order of business was to activate the tele-aid. After multiple readings, in several books, I have concluded that either the S.O.S. button cover is too well hidden, or I am looking in the wrong place, or worst case scenario, they forgot to equip this particular car with this standard feature as well as the wrench/info buttons, I cannot find them either. Any suggestion as to the placement of these buttons. Thanks in advance.

 

are you sure the car is equipped with tele aid- it is not a standard feature. i have only seen a couple that were equipped with tele aid. if it had it then the salesperson at the dealership should have handled that and demonstrated it.

 

You are indeed correct that this is not a standard feature anymore but rather a $700 option which this car did not come through with. I, as well as my parents, were confused as there was a "Tele-Aid" feature card in the center console and their 2001 c class was equipped with this feature as standard fare. After talking to the dealer, he informed us of the option, as he too, thought that this was standard also. With the new feature on the c class comand system incorporating the bluetooth, which we are implementing with great success, I guess not too many people will have this option ordered for their new c.
