Default Needed : Mcgivers help!

i locked my keys in the trunk of my 1981 380sl while i was changing the battery. After a month they are still there and i am begining to wonder if i will ever get to drive my car again. I know the locks operate under vacumn and i have a mityvac so I am wondering where i can apply a vacumn to get the trunk to unlock. I ordered a key by the VIN number and it dosent work. Yesterday i had my locksmith come over to get in the trunk and he could'nt do it.<IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0"></P>

Does anyone know what i can do to get to my keys??? The battery is of course housed in the trunk but it is not ion the car. Help!</P>

You need to get a more specialized locksmith. I could not open the trunk of my 73 BMW Bavaria that had a dimple cut key (very complex) and the locksmith did it.

<FONT size=3>Can't you get in by using one of them flat metal things (trade tool)that slide down between the side window glass and the sill and open the door, then take the back seat out and get in the trunk that way? or don't that work on a merc.</FONT> <edited><editID>dave190e</editID><editDate>38042.6101157407</editDate></edited>

The gas tank is behind the seat (in most MB) and will not allow access to the trunk.
