I just bought a 1990 300 CE 24 valve 6 cyl and I need help solving the problem with the ignition control module.Does anyone out there know if there is an aftermarket replacement module or know of a cheap fix or source for a replacement Thanks .Hit me up here or at oldskool@usa.com

 

Are you certain the issue is EZL?

 

Thanks for your reply Waybomb.Like I said,I just purchased the car and the seller assured me that he had borrowed an ezl from a 300 SL and the car started.Id like to have the luxury of seeing it for myself,but he said the SL was in for service at the same shop that his car was at and is no longer available.All I know for sure is that I have a no spark condition.I think I have located an ezl.There is a whole 1990 CE for sale in the southeast for parts.If I'm able to get the ezl,I'll post the info on the rest of the car on the site in caes anyone else needs parts from it.I'll keep y'all posted.Thanks again

 

OK, just didn't want you spending alot of $$$ on an EZL when it may have been something else.

Another source would be ebay from a user with a long ebay history and near 100% rating. Make sure you buy the exact part number. Different programs are in other ezls.
