Hello; I am pleased to join your Forum.
My 300D (diesel) is only covering 23mpg; I expected about 40mpg.
The 300TE is 'running' on LPG only, no petrol connected. It has been like that since 2003, but I have only owned the car for about a year; no problems previously. However, it is now backfiring AND will NOT tick over.
I have had several so called experts give me all kind of reasons, none of which have worked so far but I am greatful for their help.
I am waiting for a s/h 'fuel relay' which I am assured will put the 300TE back onto petrol, as well as LPG, which would help to get me home; I hope.
Both cars are high milage, LPG 123K and Diesel 188K but I know they 'go forever'.
I have had lots of BMW's and Porsche, but I find the MB are, dare I say it, better made, in my opinion. I am a Founder Member of PCGB so should have another 928, I don't know.
PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP. Or can 'you' recomend someon for me to ask.
