This is my first Mercedes, a 1999 ML 320. It has 145,000 miles on it. I got it from a friend who had all services done at the dealership. I was going to change the oil. I have a Mercedes filter and the 0w-30 Mobil1 fully synthetic oil. My question is: is there anything special to changing the oil in one of these? Any seals or O-rings that need to be replaced when removing drain plug or oil filter cap, or anything else that would be out of the ordinary?? Thanks, Chris, cowen226@gmail.com.

 

should always replace copper washer on drain plug and oil filter should come with new rubber 'o' seal to be replaced on filter cap
