ML Engine fire

Hi everyone,
I was researching the ML series and have seen two with minor fire in or around the enginebay fusebox area, causing the plastic cover to melt a bit. I was wondering if there is a known problem with the ML series having engine fire around the fusebox area? Any recalls or similar cases of temperature in the enginebay fusebox rising to the point of melting the plastic housing? I am considering buying one this week and need to know if electrical problem with the fusebox is a known issue. I would think that maybe the owner wired in some aftermarket music or something that cause an overload and the melting of the plastics. Having seen 2 last week, I am left wondering if anyone knows something that can cause this? I have pics of this, if anyone wants to see it.
