Hi all
I have a mercedes 190E 1993 Auto with approx. 90K. since around 75K it started to cut out very intermittently. the cutting out always happens when i am slowing down to a stop. it seems to cut out more frequently when the auto box is on ecconomy than sports setting (switch on console).
the sequence of events is:
driving along at steady speed of say 30MPH
slow down gracefully
stop at junction
revs go up to around 1000
engine dies
the car re-starts without any problems and the cutting out does not happen for a while (2-3 days).
The engine is serviced regularly and is fitted with the borsch injection system (partly mechanical and partly electronic). apart from this very intermittent problem the car is a dream. runs like new and never fails to start.
I have had the car cecked out by a fuel injection specialist and have had a complete electronic tune up by supertune in finsbury pk, north london however the problem poersists. does anybody have any ideas as to what may be causing this fustrating problem?
many thanks in advance.

Sounds more like your problem is electrical. You need to seek an auto-electric mechanic. If you've performed the necessary systems maintenance, but your problem still occurs, to me, it points to wiring or perhaps your harness. I could be wrong, but it would be pretty hard to diagnose from what you've stated. Keep us informed as to what you find. Best to you.
