I have a 1976 Mercedes 300D engine appears tight with an automatic trans ( was standard available?) .It seems to turn quit a few rpm at 60mph but then in not used to diesels either,I can feel it shift twice so i believe its in 3rd but i make allot of road trips and my mk1 scirroco is getting cramped for the family How fast can i reliably cruise in this car
oh yea does it mean I'm spending to much time tinkering with the car thatI'm so used to smell of diesel that i don't realize the kerosene heater has run out of k1 and is letting off black smoke?
