M-B had a single roller timing chain that had mechanical problems in the 380 motor in the early 80s. Does anyone know what year Mercedes changed from the single roller timing chain to the dual roller chain? OR, does the 1985 380 SE have a dual chain?

the single chains were only on the 4clyinder engines, but it was only modified when chain was noisy or broken.................
