Hi
I have a 96 sl 500 and would like to be able to hook up an ipod without replacing the stereo. I do not want stuff sticking out of the cig lighter or wires visable and running all over the interior of the car. From the research I have done so far there is an after market wireing harness that attaches to the back of the stock deck but it only goes back to 99.
Does anyone know if:
1. the 96 deck is the same as the 99 and the harness will work?
2. the 99 deck will fit and work in the 96 system?
3.is there a mercedes deck that will fit the 96 system with the ipod adapter that will look mostly stock?
