id this "car" for me, please

saw a mercedes "suv" the other day... not one of the smooth sided modern car looking ones... this one very square and industrial and " land rover defender ish" looking.... relatively new... only 4 or 5 years old.... but gone before i saw the model and quick look around onlinebut i can't id it.... what did i see ?
