How to reset "Service Due Now"?

RE: How to reset "Service Due Now"?
Sometimes the service tech forgets to reset the "service due" button when the service is done. I have an S500 and when that happens I just push the reset "R" button on my dash and it does the job. Can't be sure that your E-class has a reset "R" button, but I'll bet it does. Oh, the display has to be on the milage/odometer/service setting when you push the "R."

I have tried 5 different methods posted on this forum, including the method stated in the owners manual and NOTHING works in my 2002 C240.It currently reads "Service B exceeded by 200 miles."
