Hi Everyone,
My car is a 1999 C280 with the 6 cyl gas engine.
I filled my tank a few days ago, and for some reason the gas gauge stayed on the "E". A day later I pounded on the gas tank two times, and suddenly the gauge seemed to come unstuck and registered a full tank. After a couple more days of driving (about 70 miles), you guessed it, it still says full. Obviously the float is sticking. Anyone have any experiance with this?

I would try removing the pump assymbly and see if you can clean it off to get it to stop sticking. Of course it would be alot easier just to replace the assymbly. Depends on if you want to spend the money or not.
