I recently bought a 1998 Mercedes E280 in good condition, but the Cruise Control doesn't function.

The display shows 'LIM' and flashes 190Km/h. The book indicates the Speed limiter has been set. However, none of the reset procedures work, which makes me suspect the Cruise Control has been disabled - perhaps a plug disconnected...

I looked under the dashboard, but cannot identify the harness from the CC yoke. I also cannot find where and if the CC computer is a seperate unit, and where it's located.

Iam sure the limiter sets only how fast you can get max if you put your foot on the gas.you have to switch that off and lift the leaver to the desired speed
