Dead Battery
Hi Guys... UK newbie here
Got a 230 slk. It's been sitting for over a month without turning a wheel. Gone to move it today and can't get the door open with the key fob. Guess that the battery is completely dead!!! Tried the key in the lock but it only goes in half way, as if there is some kind of mechanism stopping the key fully inserting.
I need to get into the car, so that I can open the bonnet and then jump start but don't know how to go about it without damaging the lock or the bonnet catch.
Spoke to Mercedes, they've offered to uplift it and look at it for me for £120 $230 for you guys in US(I only live a mile away!!) and they say.... sounds as though the locks have seized and need replaced. Yeah right, I'm sure it's because the battery is flat
Anyone got any ideas.
