does anyone know of a system that would enable me to do away with the meriade of buttons that control the climate system? I love my car, an 87 300E, but I want to bring it into the 21st century with touchscreen system whle I'm redoing the interior

 

If your an electronic expert and know HAVC system you might be able to do it. Even at that it might not be worth it. And don't mind cutting up your dash.

Why would you want to change such a classic interior to something that might not even look right after spending a load of money and lots of time?

 

adding a touch screen to the interior with a "mini-computer" that has gps, dvd, mp3's, and a ton of other features is one option. a buddy of mine did his own car a few years back with technology just coming out. as of now, there are "packages or systems" that you can buy and install it yourself or have it installed. alarms, auot unlock as you get close to the vehicle, etc are just some options you can add. check our your local stereo shop or even the magazines that offer car audio/electroncis. (take into consideration the finished look)
