RE: clock & temperature
i have a 2000 e320 4matic with exactly the same problem - temp and clock and most problematic - gear indicator are fuzzy/ only partially visible.
not willing to fork over 1000 for that though - thought it might be a loose wire - as LCDs should last forever....

RE: clock & temperature
As i was scrolling thru other posts it looks like this has been one of the most active topics on the board.
Interesting that an issue like this hasn't been addressed by the company. If they can't even keep the clock working what does that say about reliability on serious system items.

just purchased a 2001 e320 and noticed the clock and temp windows only have partial numbers showing.
appears they are lcd. Is this common?
can they be replaced and are they modules?

It's a bad contact problem, sometimes you need to change the "flex wire from print to LCD"
I have a spare cluster forE class with ABS, BAS/ESP onthe leftside and SRS/check engine on the right side. MB A 210 540 54 48 Q15
108 Km on the clock, good condition.
