CLK 230K diagnostics

RE: CLK 230K diagnostics
Hi, I believe that your vehicle will have one in the location advised.
However be advised that the socket is likely to have a hinged cover over it so it may not look like a socket at first glance.

RE: CLK 230K diagnostics
Thanks for the replies.I've had a look around - There's a big round socket under a circular plug in the ECU housing box ,that could be it.
Next to the bonnet release lever under the dash there is an oblong panel which I cannot remove without damage to it ( I think its a knockout panel for future fitting of OBD2 socket)
It looks like I've bought the wrong fault code reader.

RE: CLK 230K diagnostics
it's just above your left knee when you are sitting on the driver's side.
there can be an OBD there but you cannot use it. it cannot communicate.
yes, it is wired and looks functional, but i tried to diagnose from there sometimes... it just doesn't work.
am not sure about europe and north america version.
