CL600 Rapid indicator flashing on locking

Default CL600 Rapid indicator flashing on locking
Hi, When I lock my car the indicators flash rapidly until I hit the lock button again, then they flash 3 time more slowly and the car locks. I have RTFM'd etc and searched the net, I'm sure it's indicating something. Can someone enlighten me please. thanks

the door handle light is flashing or the rearview mirror?

NO, all the indicators, front, back and on the door mirrors (turn signals)
