Default Can't Get Head Off

I have a 1992 190e 2.3

I have taken the 10 head bolts off, found and taken the three smaller bolts inside the timing chair cover compartment, disconnected the exhaust and the intake, I have taken the cam sproket off, and still the head won't budge. Is there another step I am missing? I don't want to force it.

Do I have to remove the tensioner? Do I have to remove the timing guide pins if I already have the chain broken? I don't think these things would effect the head being lifted off.

Thanks in advance.

yes you have to pull out the timing chain guide rail pins as these pass through the head to hold the rail.is the head a little loose?if you take out the tensioner you would not need to split the chain and you should allways reset your tensioner after.

Thanks. What did you mean if I took out the tensioner I would not need to split the chain? Would it allow enough play so I could remove it and replace the chain without having to break it and thread a new one in it?

update: On some 190e engines, there is a bolt near the sensors on top of the head, it doesn't look like a head bolt, but it goes completely through the head into the engine block. This bolt is what stumped me. I pulled that out and the head just popped right off.
