I have replace the battery & alternator so i went to get it inspected & it would not pass saying not ready on some of the test.
The guy told me i would have to drive it about 100 miles before it would pass since all codes were clear due to the replaement of the battery , i drove it 100 miles most of it hwy. Still would not pass .
It thier anyone that knows how many mile hwy or in town .it will take?
Try to mercedes but no one will call me back, service dept sucks.

The car needs to run and complete obd monitoring test which most are driving car through 3-5 trips(1 trip= 1 warm up/cool down period) most have to reach operating temp , coolant above70degrees c . Some test car driven over 25mph for min 5min.
Best thing drive the car normal for min 10-20 min with at least 2 freeway trips over 35mi. that should do it. but the car will have to cool off at least sit 6 hr .
best advice is drive normal wait about a week or 2 and on weekends drive 35 + miles
