Already posted this in the C-Class forum but i thought it wouldn't hurt to see if anyone could help me out on here either:

I've got an '02 C240 and recently, when it's been pretty cold out and the car hasn't run in a few days, it doesn't shift out of 1st gear once the car is in drive. Like I said, it's not a regular occurence but enough to be annoying. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what the problem may be. The thing is that if this does happen where it won't shift and i put it in park, turn the car off and then turn it back on immediately, it'll run fine. Thanks for the help.
