C230 Coupe Panoramic Sunroof Problems!!!
Hello all, this is my first posting. I have a 2002 C230 Kompressor Coupe with the panoramic sunroof. It will not go up or back anymore. When I push the button it clicks but nothing happens. The button still activates and moves the sunshade back and forth but will no longer work the sunroof itself. I was just wondering if anyone knew what could be the problem so I don't have to take it to the dealer. I assume that it is something minor because the sunroof worked fine before and the sunshade still works. I love the sunroof and would rather not be gouged at the dealer.
Thanks in advance for all help!

Have you tried to re-synch the roof?
If not, stand outside the car and point the remote at the small sensor on the drivers door handle. Press and HOLD down the 'unlock' button until the windows and sunroof open. Then reverse the process by pressing and 'holding' the 'lock' button until the sunroof and windows are all closed. I believe the sunshade should also close.
It may take several seconds before the desired action starts.
If the above works the roof should work OK. If not, you have more serious problems.
I have had to do this on my 2002 over the years. Recently the car sat for the winter and the roof shade would open but the roof itself would click and whirr with no results.
Note: If this doesn't work with the remote simply use the manual 'key' by holding it in either the appropriate 'lock' or 'unlock' position as noted above. It does tend to be more reliable than holding the remote buttons for an extended period.
