Hello all, this is my first posting. I have a 2002 C230 Kompressor Coupe with the panoramic sunroof. It will not go up or back anymore. When I push the button it clicks but nothing happens. The button still activates and moves the sunshade back and forth but will no longer work the sunroof itself. I was just wondering if anyone knew what could be the problem so I don't have to take it to the dealer. I assume that it is something minor because the sunroof worked fine before and the sunshade still works. I love the sunroof and would rather not be gouged at the dealer.

I dont know if this will work but it is worth a try. Hold the button like you want it to go back. Hold it for about 10 seconds. Then after try it again. I had a similar problem with my 2002 E320. It worked for that car. This might be different but it doesnt hurt to try.

 

I had the exact same problem with mine. I was gonna take it to the dealer to get it checked out. Then one day on my way to work I reached to turn on the light and accidently hit the sunroof and it came open. It didn't go all theway back smoothly,but I eventually got it. I worked it opened an closed until it was smooth. This was 3 weeks ago and it's been working fine every since. I don't know the rails are supposed to be greased or not. I have yet to find that out. But if find out any more info,let me know. Hope it works out for you.
