I am seeking some ideas and advice for my A/C compressor on my SDL. My concern is the noise the compressor makes when it is engaged.

There is a rattle type sound when the a/c is running. It blows cold and no other problems. The sound seems to subside more at a higher RPM but you can still hear the rattle or marble type sound.

Compressor was replace 7 years by the MB dealer before I purchased the car.


I'm wondering if this sounds more like the clutch making this sound? Also, another thing I wanted to mention. When the car has been sitting for a couple days and I engage the a/c, the compressor seems like it strains for a second to start, but then works normally again, but with the rattle.
