I have a 1986 190d (2.5) with a bad compressor. I've looked and can find little help on just how hard it is to replace the compressor.

Do I need to remove the fan or radiator to replace it or is there enough room to remove it from below the car?

Also I know I should replace the dryer. Should I also replace the expansion valve?

Thanks for any suggestions anyone has before I start the project.
