Brake squeek
Hi there,
2001 E220CDI WDB210...Problem started after B-chk performed by authorised station and all brakes pads were replaced. Now, the brakes squeek every time brakes are applied. The squeek comes at the end of braking when car is about to come to a halt. They told me this is normal for the first 300km after installation. Can this be true?
Does anybody know of a remedy?

NOT A NORMAL CONDITION. IF THE PADS ARE OEM MERCEDES PARTS, I'D SAY YOU MAY HAVE A RIDGE ON THE ROTOR WHICH COMMONLY CAUSES BRAKE NOISES. mERCEDES PADS ARE PRETTY GOOD ABOUT KEEPING QUIET BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IT IS NOT ABNORMAL FOR BRAKE SQUEEL IN COLD WEATHER.
