Does anyone know what would blow the #2 fuse (clock, trunk light, diagnostic, roof light front a. rear, hazard warn. system, illumin. vanity mitrror, warn. monitor term. 5, autom. antenna, switch-over valve seat back arrester, (elektron radio) in my 1985 300TD? It was blown when we bought it, and blew immediately when we replaced it.

 

My 1985 Mercedes 300SD Turbo Diesel had the same fuse blow when I went to remove the trunk light (as part of removing the trunk lid) when I put the light back I accidently shorted out two wired together. In moving the wires a wire was moved and hinge severed the wire clieanly. I suspect if you get inthe trunk and look on the driver side back by the hinge you will find one wire cut. The fuses blow flow quite easily so get a bunch at Autozone when you work on this. I used an electrician to find and do my repair as they know this space much better than auto mechanics. All is well now.
