87 300td blown hydro shocks or accumulators??
My wagon just mysteriously blew out what seems to be both hydropneumatic SLS shocks, but the more threads I read on this subject leads me to believe the Accumulators are the culprit 99% of the time. Could bad accumulators cause fluid to leak out of both sides of the shocks? I can see where the accumulators are and there is no fluid coming from them. also my ride height was normal until now. Is it normal for both shocks to blow at the same time? I reckon that one blew and it was too much for the other to bare so it gave up the ghost too?? it all happened with in 30min.

Got the shocks installed, purged filled, and its doin great. And for anyone else that reads this and runs into the same problem I did, The hardline (hydraulic) connected to the flexable hose has a flare nut on it and the nut spins on the hard line which allows you to loosen it and disconnect the flex hose. This might be common knowledge to most and me too but mine was so sticky I was second guessing myself...I thought I was going to twist the hardline in half, so spray that nut good with penetrating oil before you begin this project.
