If it is like my 97 C280, pick up the rear seat bottom. Under there is the automatic pedal adjuster mechanism. Put an allen wrench in the screw hole and release the adjustment. The cable goes through the body - crimp the expanded prongs so you can push the cable through.
Is that what you mean?
Or the other end? It is bolted on from the backside. You need to free up the mechanism, and slide the cable out of the mechanism. The whole thing should flop around freely; I am guessing yours is completely rusted together. Heat works wonders on freeing it up.
If you are changing the cable because the mechanism is frozen, just free it up with heat, then file/sand or the sliding surfaces, and then apply some brake silicone lube all over it. Will be good as new. Then, use the parking brake at least once a week.
