I need to replace the emergency brake cable on the passenger side. Everything inside the hub was in pieces except for the shoes. When i replaced the shoes, and springs the rotor wouldn't go back on even with the adjustment down to nothing. I figure it's the expander on the end of the cable that's attached at the end. Can i pull that out if I disconnect the cable under the car? There doesn't seem to be enough room between the hub and the end of the cable opening slot to get it through. Help.
