'99 C230 Kompressor, 88,000 miles, very well maintained. Should I need new ball joints and lower control arms due to failing bushings at this time? If so, what should I expect to pay for repairs?

youll only need them if they have play....or are leaking oil from them. generally if the bushings are badly cracked then they should be replaced. lower ball joints will have excessive movement and you can usually hear them over bumps. both can fail state inspection if bad enough.
