I have a 560 Sec
The ASR light is on and I lose about 5 cm from my throttle pedal
Does anyone knows why this light turns on?[]

i'm not positive, but i believe the asr system is designed to prevent slipping or skidding of the tires upon acceleration. this might explain why your throttle pedal would be acting up, since it is trying to control your rate of acceleration to prevent loss of traction.

Your car is in "limp home" mode when the ASR light is on, hence the loss of power.

The first thing I'd try is to disconnect the battery cables for a few seconds and reconnect. Make sure you have your radio code handy. It's like rebooting Windows on your PC and will turn the ASR light off. It may come back on again at which point you can come back here and yell louder for help.

Has the car been on a dyno recently?

asr light coming on and resulting limp home mode may be caused by failure of the electronic throttle actuator (eta). this piece new from mb is $1250 for my 94 sl500, but i found a tech here in houston that has found a remanufacturer for this item. here is his link if you are interested.

http://www.mphauto.com/

if you email mike haven he can get you the contact info for the remanufacturer....i had to send my old unit in as a core....
