Hi,
i own a 78 300D
i have been having battery charging problems.

the Alternator (disconected from battery) puts out a nice steady 14.5V

so all looks fine. but the moment i turn on the lights, it drops down to 12V
i then turn on the windscreen wipers, drops to 11V
turn on brights 10V
and so on, the more things i turn on, the lower the output.

til eventualy it puts out only about 8V with everything from lights to radio switched on.

could this be the alternator, or maybe just the regulator?

any help please.
